Ted Merhoff, Secretary - My interest in Oldham County Greenways began just as soon as I learned the organization existed!  And I welcomed the opportunity to serve on its board and try to do my part in making our community a better place in which to safely walk, run, and ride bikes.  One friend was excited that Oldham County was going to have a dedicated multi-use trail where she can teach her six year old to ride his bike without being on the road with her neighbor's 16 year old son learning to drive his car!  My wife and I, together with friends, have been on bike trips in 12 different states and without exception, the trails we were on bustled with activity:  walkers, hikers, folks in wheel chairs, in-line skaters, serious bikers, and families with children whose bikes had training wheels.  I look forward to the day when we have those kinds of trails here.  Greenways for Oldham County is making that happen.
